Abstract
A cDNA corresponding to the chicken interferon-.gamma. (IFN-.gamma.) gene has been isolated. The invention thus provides avian IFN-.gamma. polypeptides, nucleic acids encoding them, and their recombinant production. The nucleic acids and polypeptides are useful as therapeutic agents and as adjuvants for the treatment of birds.
