Abstract
Liquid laundry detergent compositions provide good detergency for the cleaning of garments and textiles, as well as further providing a germicidal action to textile fabrics in a domestic laundering process. There is provided an aqueous, germicidal liquid detergent composition comprising: PA1 A) a major anionic surfactant constituent selected from alkylethercarboxylates and alkylethersulfonates; PA1 B) a cationic germicidal surfactant; PA1 C) a nonionic surfactant preferably selected from alcoholalkoxylates, akylphenol alkoxylates, alkylpolyglycosides, amine oxides and alkanolomides, wherein the value of the cationic surfactant to the major anionic surfactant is 1:2 or greater; and, PA1 D) a compatible optical brightener constituent. Further conventional additives may be included as optional constituents.
