Abstract

Provided are cephem derivatives represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein Ar, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 are as defined in the application. The derivatives are gram-positive antibacterial agents especially useful in the treatment of diseases caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
