Abstract
Compounds and ink compositions. An ink composition comprising a compound of Formula (1) and salts thereof: ##STR1## wherein Ch represents an arrangement of atoms which causes the compound to absorb electromagnetic radiation; PA1 R.sup.a and R.sup.b each independently is a spacer group; PA1 Y is an interactive functional group; PA1 w and x each independently is 0 or an integer equal to or greater than 1; and PA1 m and n each independently is an integer equal to or greater than 1, provided that w and x are not both equal to zero and when one of w or x is 0 at least one of m and n is equal to or greater than 2. For use in ink jet printing and electrophotography.
