Abstract

Thiopyridines of formula (I) ##STR1## in which the substituents and symbols are as defined in the specification are suitable for use in controlling Helicobacter bacteria. They are compounded into medicament compositions and administered to subjects afflicted with a disease based on Helicobacter bacteria.
