Abstract
A blow molding apparatus for blow molding a preform into a container has a rectangular carrying path, carrier members each of which supports and carries the preform and container, an endless carrying member for circulatorily driving the carrier members along the path, a first transferring portion for transferring the preform supplied from outside of the apparatus to at least one of the carrying members, a heating section for heating the preform supported by the at least one carrying member, a blow molding section for blow molding the heated preform into the container, a second transferring portion for transferring the blow molded container outside of the apparatus, at least one guidable member disposed at each of the carrying members, and at least one guide member for guiding the at least one guidable member in each of the carrying members in order to transfer each of the carrying members along the rectangular carrying path.
