Abstract
The invention discloses a capillary dyeing composition comprising at least one direct dye, wherein the composition further comprises a cross-linked polymer with acrylic units and alkyl C.sub.10 -C.sub.30 acrylate units. The invention also discloses the use of cross-linked polymer with acrylic units and alkyl C.sub.10 -C.sub.30 acrylate units in or for the production of a capillary dyeing composition comprising at least one direct dye, to improve the tinctorial power of the composition, particularly after storage at below about 10.degree. C., and in particular at about 4.degree. C. The invention also discloses a method for preserving the tinctorial power of the composition, particularly after storage at below about 10.degree. C., of a dyeing composition containing at least one direct dye, wherein an effective amount of the cross-linked polymer is added to the composition.
