Abstract

The present invention relates to dye mixtures comprising one or more azo dyes of the general formula (1) and one or more azo dyes of the general formula (2) ##STR1## where p is 1 or 2, PA0 R.sub.1, R.sup.1' and R.sup.2 are independently hydrogen or a group of the general formula SO.sub.3 M or OCH.sub.3, PA0 R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are independently hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, PA0 X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 are independently fluorine or chlorine or a grouping of the general formula NR.sup.3 R.sup.4 or OR.sup.3, PA0 R.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or optionally substituted aryl, PA0 R.sup.4 has one of the meanings of R.sup.3 or is aryl or alkyl (which may be substituted by SO.sub.2 Y, SO.sub.3 M or OCH.sub.3), optionally substituted morpholino or pyrimidino or NHCN, PA0 Y, Y.sup.1 and Y.sup.2 are independently vinyl or a grouping of the general formula CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Z, PA0 Z is a grouping which can be eliminated by the action of alkali, and PA0 M is a hydrogen atom, an ammonium ion or the equivalent of an alkali or alkaline earth metal, PA0 their preparation and their use for dyeing or printing hydroxyl- and/or carboxamido-containing material.
