Abstract
A process for making a textile softening composition having a viscosity of up to about 100 cps, involving the steps of: (a) forming a primary mixture by combining, with agitation: (i) acetic acid; (ii) an alkoxylated alcohol; and (iii) water; and (b) adding to the primary mixture, with agitation, the following components: (iv) a first portion of a polyorganosiloxane having at least one pendant sterically hindered 2.degree. amine functionality; (v) a first portion of a base component; (vi) a second portion of the polyorganosiloxane; and (vii) a second portion of the base component.
