Abstract

The invention relates to oligoesters obtained by polycondensation of PA1 a) from 40 to 52 mol %, preferably from 45 to 50 mol %, of one or more dicarboxylic acids or esters thereof, PA1 b) from 10 to 40 mol %, preferably from 20 to 35 mol %, of ethylene glycol and/or propylene glycol, PA1 c) from 3 to 20 mol %, preferably from 10 to 15 mol %, of polyethylene glycol, PA1 d) from 0.5 to 10 mol %, preferably from 1 to 7.5 mol %, of a water-soluble addition product of from 5 to 80 mol of an alkylene oxide with 1 mol of C.sub.1 -C.sub.24 -alcohols, C.sub.6 -C.sub.18 -alkylphenols or C.sub.8 -C.sub.24 -alkylamines and PA1 e) from 0.4 to 10 mol %, preferably from 0.5 to 8 mol %, of one or more polyols having from 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups. These oligoesters are used as soil release polymers in detergents.
