Abstract
This invention relates to certain 5-HT.sub.4 receptor modulators, particularly 5-HT.sub.4 receptor antagonists, represented by Formula I: ##STR1## wherein Z is formula (A) or (B): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, and R.sup.5 and the other substituents are as defined in the specification; or individual isomers, racemic or non-racemic mixtures of isomers, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts or solvates thereof. The invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds and methods for their use as therapeutic agents.
