Abstract
A family of compounds having the general structural formula ##STR1## where W is a reverse hydroxamic acid group, and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are as described in the specification, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, biohydrolyzable ester, biohydrolyzable amide, affinity reagent, or prodrug thereof. Also described are methods for their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions including such compounds and their use in medicine.
