Sulphonylbenzazolones of the formula ##STR1## in which PA1 R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and Q are each as defined in the description. PA1 a process for preparing these compounds and their use as microbicides in crop protection and in the protection of materials.
