Abstract

Disclosed is a photographic element comprising a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a cyan dye-forming coupler represented by Formula (I): ##STR1## wherein: PA1 each R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 is an independently selected substituent, m is 0 to 5, and p is 0 to 2; PA1 X is hydrogen or a coupling-off group; PA1 W and W.sup.2 represent the atoms necessary to complete rings; and PA1 R.sup.2 is an alkyl or aryl group. The element provides desirable hue properties and ease of synthesis.
