Abstract
The present invention provides a novel pyrimidine derivative represented by the general formula (1): ##STR1## (wherein R, R.sup.4 and R.sup.8 are the same as defined in the specification) or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which possesses an excellent activity for inhibiting the formation of NO (nitrogen oxide) in vivo.
