Abstract
A superconductor with the Bi 2223 high T.sub.c phase is manufactured by mulitply deforming and annealing a structure composed of a material matrix and at least one core of a fabricated material of the superconductor material. At least during an initial segment of a cooling process following the final annealing, the oxygen partial pressure is lowered with decreasing temperature at least in a temperature range between 800.degree. C. and 750.degree. C. for stabilizing the 2223 phase. A rapid cooling to room temperature advantageously follows.
