Abstract
A compound comprising a polyfluorinated anion of the formula [M.sub.1 (XC(CF.sub.a (R.sub.1).sub.b)(CF.sub.c (R.sub.2).sub.d)R.sub.3).sub.m (R.sub.4).sub.n ].sup.-p and the use thereof is provided. Specifically, the present invention provides a compound comprising a anion which comprises a polyfluorinated alkoxide coordinated to a transition metal, or a Group III, IV or V element.
