Abstract

This invention relates to novel suspensions containing PA1 (a) 30 to 95 wt. % of water, PA1 (b) 70 to 5 wt. % of at least one silane or siloxane having at least two groups corresponding to formula (I) EQU --(CH.sub.2).sub.m SiR.sub.n X.sub.3-n (I) PA1 wherein PA2 R denotes C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 alkyl and/or C.sub.6 -C.sub.20 aryl, PA2 X denotes OH, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, C.sub.6 -C.sub.20 aryloxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 acyloxy and/or hydrogen, PA2 m is 1 to 6, and PA2 n is 0 to 2, PA1 (c) 0.1 to 30 wt. % of at least one emulsifier, and PA1 (d) 0 to 20 wt. % of one or more additives and/or auxiliary substances, with the proviso that the sum of components (a) to (d) totals 100 wt. %. The present invention further relates to the preparation and use of such suspensions.
