Abstract
A filter bonnet for an open-top cage includes: PA1 a filter top adapted to cover the open top of the open-top cage. The filter top has a body portion with a perforated top wall and side walls extending therefrom forming an open bottom end. A shield is permanently affixed to the top wall and disposed within an area defined by the side walls.
