Abstract
An occlusion cannula for atraumatically blocking a major vessel. The cannula comprises an elongate tubular member having an expandable occluder mounted on a distal region of the tubular member. The tubular member has a lumen extending from a proximal end to one or more perfusion ports in the distal region. The distal region on the tubular member has a first segment curved from the axis of the proximal tubular member, a second segment that curves opposite the first segment, and a third segment that is substantially linear and lies approximately perpendicular to the axis of the proximal tubular member. The occluder is mounted on the third segment of the distal region. Methods of use are also described.
