Abstract

A composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase and comprising at least one acrylic terpolymer obtained from the polymerization of a carboxylic acid monomer having .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenic unsaturation, a non-surface-active monomer comprising ethylenic unsaturation other than (a), and a non-ionic urethane monomer which is the reaction product of a monohydric non-ionic amphiphilic compound with an isocyanate comprising monoethylenic unsaturation, in which the terpolymer/oily phase ratio by weight ranges from 1/50 to 1/125. The composition is particularly suited for cosmetic and/or dermatological applications.
