Abstract
Ruthenium complexes of the formula I or IV EQU RuX.sub.2 (.dbd.CH--CH.sub.2 R)L.sup.1 L.sup.2 (I) EQU RuXY(.dbd.CH.dbd.CH.sub.2 R)L.sup.1 L.sup.2 (IV) where PA1 X, Y are anionic ligands, PA1 R is hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 -alkyl radical or C.sub.6 -C.sub.20 -aryl radical and PA1 L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 are, independently of one another, uncharged electron donor ligands, are prepared by PA2 (a) reaction of RuX.sub.3 with L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 in an inert solvent in the presence of a reducing agent and hydrogen and PA2 (b) reaction with compounds of the formula II EQU R--C.tbd.CH (II) PA3 where R is as defined above, in the presence or absence of water, and, if desired after isolation of the intermediate, with HY, [HL.sup.1 ]Y or [HL.sup.2 ]Y.
