Abstract
Compositions and methods for the prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of bacterial infections are disclosed which comprise administering to an individual an effective amount of a composition comprising an effective amount of lytic enzyme and a carrier for delivering the lytic enzyme. This method and composition can be used for the treatment of upper respiratory infections, skin infections, wounds, burns, vaginal infections, eye infections, intestinal disorders and dental problems.
