Abstract
Refrigerating machine oils comprises for use with a refrigerant containing ammonia, which comprises a polypropylene glycol monoether represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and n is an integer to be selected such that the number-average molecular weight becomes 500 to 5,000.
