Abstract
##STR1## The invention relates to metallocenes of formula (I), in which M is a metal from the Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta group or an element from the lanthanide group, X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 stand for an alkyl-, aryl-, alkenyl-, arylalkyl-, alkylaryl- or arylalkenyl group and L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 are hydrocarbon capable of forming a sandwich structure with M. R stands for C, Si, Ge or Sn, A and B are ferrocenyl-substituted radicals, or B is optionally a radical X.sub.1 of X.sub.2. The metallocenes are preferably used as catalysts in the polymerization of olefins.
