Abstract

The invention relates to novel polymers containing at least some units of formula (I): ##STR1## in which: PA1 A.sub.1.sup..sym. and A.sub.2.sup..sym. ; which may be identical or different, denote: PA2 a) a quaternary unsaturated heterocycle; or PA2 b) a quaternary ammonium and at least one of the groups A.sub.1.sup..sym. and A.sub.2.sup..sym. denotes a quaternary unsaturated heterocycle; PA1 p denotes an integer or fraction from 0 to 50; PA1 B.sub.1 denotes an .alpha., .omega.-bis(alkyl)polysiloxane group or a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based chain containing upto 6 consecutive carbon atoms, which can contain one or more hydroxyl groups and can be interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms and/or several aromatic rings; PA1 B.sub.2 denotes a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based chain containing upto 6 consecutive carbon atoms, which can contain one or more hydroxyl groups and can be interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms and/or several aromatic rings; PA1 R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be identical or different, denote a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl radical or a phenyl radical; PA1 X.sup..crclbar. denotes an anion de…
