Abstract
The present invention provides a naphthyridine derivative represented by the formula (1) ##STR1## wherein A is lower alkylene; R.sup.1 is H or an electron pair "-"; R.sup.2 is optionally substituted phenyl; when R.sup.1 is an electron pair "-", R.sup.3 is a group represented by ##STR2## (wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each represent lower alkyl, etc.); when R.sup.1 is H, R.sup.3 is a group --S--R.sup.6 (wherein R.sup.6 is lower alkyl, etc.); and R.sup.7 is H or lower alkyl; and also provides an analgesic composition containing the above derivative as an active ingredient.
