Abstract
An electromagnetic valve actuating apparatus includes an armature moved by a solenoid, and an armature shaft joined with the armature, for transmitting motion from the armature to a valve. The armature is formed with a tapered joint hole, and the armature shaft has a tapered end portion which is fit in the tapered joint hole so that the mating joint surfaces are in the form of a conical surface. The armature is made of a ferromagnetic material whereas the armature shaft is made of a material which is non-magnetic and lower in specific gravity than the material of the armature.
