Abstract
A description is given of a process for the transesterification of carboxylic esters, characterized in that the catalyst used is a tin(IV) compound comprising a radical of the formula ##STR1## bound to an inorganic support, where L is an at least divalent radical and at least one of the free valences of the Si in formula (I) is bound to the inorganic support, novel tin(IV) compounds and their preparation.
