Abstract
A fountain humidifier and air cleanser for providing moisture to surrounding air. The fountain humidifier and air cleanser includes a base including a skirt extending therefrom forming a reservoir for retaining a fluid therein and a hollow structure including a recess in a top side thereof and an open base side having an irregularly shaped edge. The hollow structure is removably positioned within the reservoir whereby fluid within the reservoir is able to flow into the structure through spaces present between the base side and reservoir due to the irregularly shaped edge. A pump is positioned within the hollow structure and a diverter is connected to the pump. The diverter extends through the recess in the top side of the hollow structure, wherein the pump pumps fluid within the reservoir against the diverter causing the fluid to form a dome shaped flow through the recess and back into the reservoir. The fluid flowing through the recess and along the side of the diverter is at least partially absorbed by the surrounding air thereby humidifying the surrounding air.
