Abstract

The benzidine derivatives of the invention are symmetrical compounds of the following structure: ##STR1## in which: PA0 n=1, 2 or 3; PA0 R.sup.1 =H, phenyl or 1-naphthyl, PA0 R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together form a fused benzene ring, an a- or b-fused naphthalene ring or a fused 1,2,5-thiadiazole ring.
