Abstract

Process for the preparation of organofunctional polysiloxanes, which comprises reacting cyclic dialkylsiloxanes with at least one compound of the type HO--R'--X, wherein X.dbd.--OH, --COOH, --NR".sub.2 --, --CR".dbd.CR".sub.2, and R.dbd.alkyl, aryl, alkylene, oxyalkylene or arylene, in the presence of an equilibration catalyst.
