Abstract
Compounds of the formula (I): ##STR1## where X.sup.1, A, Ar.sup.1, X and R are as defined in the specification, and pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof, are new, and are useful as tachykinin inhibitors which act at the NK.sub.1, NK.sub.2 and NK.sub.3 receptors or a combination of two or more thereof.
