Abstract
Process for inhibiting deoxyribonucleotide triphosphate biosynthesis by cells, comprising application onto these cells of at least one of the azo derivatives of the formula (I), in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 =H, Hal, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon or a nitro group, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 as well as R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 being capable of forming a heterocyclic ring with the N adjacent thereto, X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 =0 or NR.sup.5, where R.sup.5 =H, Hal, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon, or a nitro group, and the use of these derivatives for the production of medicines to be administered in conditions which require abnormal production of DNA from the cells ##STR1##
