Abstract
Preparation of 2,5-dichlorophenol by selectively oxidizing 1,4-dichlorobenzene using a peroxo-, hydroperoxo-, superoxo- or alkylperoxo-metal species in the presence of an .alpha.-hydroxy-, dibasic-, tribasic- or sulfonic acid.
