Abstract
A multilayer silver halide color photographic material, wherein when the multilayer silver halide color photographic material is development processed with a color developing solution containing a p-phenylenediamine derivative as a color developing agent, the relationship between the development proceeding velocity a of the lowermost layer of the constituting emulsion layers of the photographic material and the development proceeding velocity b of the uppermost layer satisfies the following equation (R-1): EQU 0.65.ltoreq.a/b.ltoreq.2.0 (R-1) provided that the development proceeding velocity is expressed by the reciprocal of the developing time required for the density value by development to reach 1/2 of the maximum density.
