Abstract

Solutions of aminotriazine resins at least 30 mol % of whose alkylol groups are etherified with a C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 alkanol in a mono-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl glycol of the formula EQU R.sup.1 --O--(R.sup.2 --O--).sub.w (R.sup.3 --O--).sub.x (R.sup.2 --O--).sub.y (R.sup.3 --O--).sub.z H. I where R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, R.sub.2 is CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 and R.sup.3 is ##STR1## and w, x, y and z are an integer from 0 to 10 and at least one of them is other than 0 or in a solvent mixture which consists to the extent of at least 20% by weight a of mono-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl glycol of the above formula.
