Abstract

The present invention provides a process for esterifying or transesterifying acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid or acrylic esters and/or methacrylic esters with hydroxy-functional and/or polyoxyalkylene-modified siloxane derivatives of the general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 through R.sup.8 and v, w, x, y, and z are as defined herein and the esterification or transesterification reaction is catalyzed by an enzyme.
