Abstract
This invention relates to processes for preparing compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## and to processes for preparing certain intermediates of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 is nitro, amino or protected amino; R.sup.2 is H, fluoro, chloro CF.sub.3, nitro, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy, amino or protected amino; and X.sup.1 is OH or a suitable leaving group, used in that process. The invention also relates novel to compounds of the formulae (II).
