Abstract

PA1 Composition (A) comprising: PA1 a) at least one compound of formula (I): EQU (Z).sub.y --(G).sub.x --O--R.sub.A (I); PA1 b) at least one compound of formula (II): EQU Z--O--[CH.sub.2 --CH(R.sub.1)--O].sub.n --R.sub.B (II); PA1 c) optionally one or more compounds of formula (IV): EQU (G).sub.x --O--R.sub.A (III), and PA1 d) optionally one or more compounds of formula (IV) EQU HO--[CH.sub.2 --CH(R.sub.1)--O].sub.n --R.sub.B (IV), wherein the weight ratios of (I) to (II) is 0.1 to 10, (III)/(I) is 0 to 1, and (IV)/(II) is 0 to 1, and in each formula: PA1 Z is a --CH(CH.sub.3)--O--R.sub.2 group, wherein R.sub.2 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of 1 to 30 carbons, PA1 y is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 3x+1; PA1 x is 1 to 5; PA1 n is 1 to 30; PA1 R.sub.1 is a hydrogen or methyl; PA1 G is the residue of a saccharide; PA1 R.sub.A and R.sub.B are independently a hydrocarbon radical of 1 to 30 carbons. Composition (A) has application as an antifoam in cleaning compositions.
