Abstract
A description is given of new chiral phosphine ligands containing amino acid groups and having the formula I ##STR1## PA1 where PA1 R.sup.1 is hydrogen, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl radical, a C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -aryl radical or a monovalent metal, preferably sodium or potassium, PA1 R.sup.2 is hydrogen or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl radical, PA1 R.sup.3 is hydrogen or an --NR.sup.5 R.sup.6 radical, where R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are identical or different and are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl or C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -aryl radicals, PA1 m is 0 or 1, PA1 with the exception of the compounds in which R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are hydrogen and at the same time R.sup.2 is hydrogen, R.sup.4 is phenyl and R.sup.1 is methyl or benzyl and a process for their preparation. These phosphine ligands are suitable as constituents of metal complexes which can be used as catalysts for reactions to form C--C, C--H, C--N, C--Si or C.dbd.O bonds.
