Abstract
An improved golf bag handle assembly is provided to mount dual shoulder straps to a golf bag. The golf bag has a handle which is located on the sidewall of the bag. The central portion of the dual shoulder strap assembly is designed to be mounted to a unique handle casing which is slidably disposed on the existing golf bag handle. The strap assembly includes a mounting web connected to the central mounting element. The handle casing includes a handle portion and an attachment member or ring integral with the handle portion. The mounting web links the central mounting element to the attachment ring. The handle casing includes an internal channel adapted to accept the handle of the golf bag. The handle casing position may be adjusted such that the weight distribution between the user's shoulders may be adjusted. To adjust the handle casing position, the handle preferably includes a locking lever which is rotated between a locked position in which the handle casing is fixed in position and an unlocked position in which the handle casing may be slid to the desired position on the golf bag's handle.
