Abstract
A method for preparing a silver halide emulsion comprising silver halide grains is disclosed, comprising: reacting a silver salt solution and a halide salt solution to perform silver halide grain nucleation, followed by silver halide grain growth to form the silver halide grains, wherein the silver halide grains are formed in the presence of an iodide ion releasing agent; and subjecting a reaction mixture solution to ultrafiltration during grain growth.
