Abstract

The present invention provides a method of producing a chlorinated rubber wherein an acidic or highly acidic chlorinated rubber cake obtained after chlorinating a rubber latex or an aqueous dispersion is subjected to fluidized drying together with a drying medium to obtain a preliminary dried powder, and the preliminary dried powder is subjected to fluidized drying again. According to the present invention, a high quality chlorinated rubber can be obtained efficiently with easy handling from an acidic or highly acidic chlorinated rubber cake obtained after chlorinating a rubber latex or an aqueous dispersion.
