Abstract

The present invention discloses the synthesis of a novel crosslinker having the following structure: ##STR1## PA1 R.sup.1 is C(R.sup.8) (R.sup.9) wherein (R.sup.8) is H, or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, and (R.sup.9) is H, or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. R.sup.2 is H, or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. R.sup.3 is H or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. R.sup.4 is an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. R.sup.5 is H or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. R.sup.6 is H or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. R.sup.7 is C(R.sup.10) (R.sup.11) wherein (R.sup.10) is H, or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, and (R.sup.11) is H, or an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. The crosslinker is stable in a basic environment, but decomposable in an acidic environment.
