Abstract
The present invention relates to methods for the reductive amination of a carbonyl-containing compound. R.sup.1 R.sup.2 CO where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are either H, alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic etc with an amine NHR.sup.3 R.sup.4 where R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 arm H, alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic in the presence of a homogeneous iridium catalyst and gaseous hydrogen.
