Abstract

Feed accessory apparatus and process for feeding the tail of a material web into a roll machine. The apparatus includes an infeed section, a discharge section, a gripper head, and a carrier. The gripper head is pivotably arranged on the carrier to pivot around a swivel axis to be located in at least one of an infeed position and a discharge position. The process includes receiving a threading end of a material web in the apparatus while it is in an infeed position, and pivoting the apparatus around a swivel axis into a discharge position.
