Abstract

Stable dry powders which are insoluble in hot water and which contain one or more lipid-soluble vitamins an/or one or more carotenoids are formed in an aqueous dispersion containing 2 to 50% by weight of at least one protein, 1 to 30% by weight of at least one sugar, 0.2 to 20% by weight of K.sub.2 HPO.sub.4, Na.sub.2 HPO.sub.4 or mixtures thereof, 0.1 to 20% by weight of at least one lipoid-soluble vitamin and/or at least one carotenoid and 5 to 95% of water. This dispersion is converted into dry powder which is heated in the range of 55.degree. C. to 1800.degree. C.
