Abstract
There are disclosed PA1 a sulfonaldehyde derivative of formula (2): ##STR1## PA1 a phosphonium salt of formula (3): ##STR2## PA1 processes for producing the same and a sulfone derivative of formula (4): ##STR3## PA1 a process for producing the same and a process for producing lycopene therefrom.
