Abstract
The present invention discloses a method for treating dental caries, comprising administering a composition comprising an effective amount of at least one lytic enzyme produced by a bacteriophage specific for said bacteria, the lytic enzyme having the ability to digest a cell wall of the bacteria infecting all or part of a mouth or teeth, and a carrier for delivering the enzyme to the mouth and teeth.
